Federal MP visits Harmony Printing

Dr. Kirsty Duncan, federal Member of Parliament for Etobicoke North (Ontario) paid a visit to Toronto’s Harmony Printing Ltd. recently. Established in 1964, Harmony Printing is a privately owned full-service commercial printer. Clients range from nationally known marketers to small enterprise operations located across Canada and the United States.

Dr. Duncan is internationally recognized as a leading expert in the area of pandemic influenza, environmental change and the impact on human health. In 2008 she was formally recognized as one of the Nobel Prize winning Canadians on the intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. She is a professor of Health Studies at the University of Toronto.

Don Gain, President of Harmony Printing, escorted her on a tour of his facility and updated her on the many issues facing the industry today. According to Gain, she showed a great deal of interest and acknowledged the importance of manufacturing to job creation and the strength of the Canadian economy. She also offered to assist and support the printing industry through her role as a Member of Parliament.
